Solar King inverters were installed in Australia a few years ago, and there are still a few out there. They were available in sizes 1.5kw, 2kw, 3kw, 4kw and 6kw.
If you have a Solar King inverter it is almost certainly out of warranty by now, as there was a 5 year warranty from date of install.
If the red light is lit up, this means the inverter is in fault mode, and there should also be a message in the display window.
Here are the error messages you will get on the inverter, and their meanings:
Error Message | Means |
Isolation Fault | Water of moisture somewhere |
Ground I Fault | Water of moisture somewhere |
Grid Fault | Error with grid power |
Impedence Fault | Error with grid power |
No Utility | No power from grid/AC breaker off |
PV Over Voltage | Broken |
Consistent Fault or Mismatch | Broken |
DC Bus High | Broken |
DC Bus Low | Broken |
Device Fault | Broken |
Over Temperature | Broken |
Relay Failure | Broken |
Grid V Mismatch | Broken |
GFCI Fault | Broken |
DC Inj High | Broken |
Ref 2.5V fault | Broken |
DC Sensor Fault | Broken |
SCI Fault | Broken |
EEPROM Fault | Broken |
PAC=0 + Blue light on | Broken |

Always try rebooting your inverter first, sometimes this will clear an error message and you may find the inverter will continue on working for a while longer. Not sure how to do this? Check here.
